From my last grocery shopping trip, I realized that I have many produce with inevitable packages. For example, avocados in their net packaging. It's cheaper to buy them in bundles, but its better for the environment to buy loose. I will use the net from my last trip to hold the loose avocados I'll buy next trip. This will extend the net's life.

A few thoughts:

-What am I supposed to do about pizzas? I love pizzas but can't purchase a whole one in the cardboard box because my composting program only accepts food scraps. ))-:

-What are some alternatives to toilet paper?

-Keep track of grocery receipts to see if it's cheaper or more expensive to live low waste

-Which items are inevitably going to produce waste?

-Why don't restaurants stop serving disposable cups (if they don't use glasses) so people people start bringing their own if they want the drink?

It hasn't even been 10 minutes after my meeting with Professor Gray and I already have obtained a pear sticker and wooden stirrer. I will shamefully put the sticker into the jar, but will reuse he stirrer for future coffee.

As I attended the ZWC Movie Event later that evening, I realized that I couldn't politely grab a plate or napkin to hold my food. Instead, I looked like a cavewoman hovering to get the slightest bit of food. I then had the leaves of strawberries leftover and had to walk up to the 2nd floor SRB TWICE to throw the waste into the compost bin. This was a close call.

After my shower, I was going to clean the drain with a napkin (like I usually do), but just as I was about to grab the tissue, I stopped myself. I ended up clearing the drain with my hands and then washing my hands after. NASTY!
