Putting your trash in a mason jar is so unrealistic and discouraging. Most packages are much larger than mason jars, so I wouldn't even consider changing my consumption behaviors because they don't fit in my mason jar. Like what's the point of keeping larger trash items??? Also, I just feel like the items that have larger packages are necessities because they contain food that is convenient to cook. For instance, frozen food packaging. They're bigger than a mason jar and they make eating dinner easier and less time consuming... will I change my habits?? Probably not because I feel like tis is a necessity and it wouldn't even be counted in my waste. I'm still going to try to buy less packaging, but the mason jar is sooooooo unrealistic.
